Awareness
I know these pictures are not striking, up to the mark, but see them carefully. These art installations are part of Delhi's first public art festival 48C to create awareness among people about our environment. The first snap shows that authorities in Delhi cut thousands of trees in the name of urbanization. The second part depicts the sharp decline in vultures. I really appreciate the initiative. So do you really care for your environment ?

I do, really do. Great initiative!
That's great!
I do care and I do what I can to make a difference.
One good things that I found out not long ago is that the regrowing of forests are greater than the cutting down of forests where I live as well as in India. I was surprised to hear that since the general idea is that we cut down more than we grow back. There only a few countries today that fail to regrow forests, unfortunately it's countries that have unique rain forests.
Good pictures, Deepak..
But the establishment seems carzy to build awareness through these cranky displays...it should be policy matter...
anyway, so much the better...
great pictures! but they are striking, especially the first two!
I guess for most of us its a way to point a finger at others.
I mean what have you done to the environment other pointing that finger,
Have a nice day!
It's never nice to see trees being torn down in the name of progress. Gladly more and more environmental concerns are taking place everywhere although still very far from what it should be.
The vulture statement is more than vague.
great post here... I'm on the trees side... and what each one of us do and think matters... thats important too...
I felt bad seeing the tree getting uprooted.
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo.

That tree should be re-planted somewhere else, what a waste!
